Skinny jeans, denim shirts, trainers or ankle
boots: fashion statement pieces that make you look fabulous. Definition from
the French fashion designer Isabel Marant. With H&M’s decision
to collaborate with the French designer, these exciting pieces are now
finally in stores and online.
"This collaboration with H&M was a
very nice opportunity to do what I love in my collections and share this love
with a wider public," Marant said in a recent video. The partnership
includes the same kind of cool clothes her female customers have loved for
years, as well as her first efforts for men and tweens.
Some are recognizable pieces. For example, a skinny, leggy silhouette but grounded by the masculine, a bit rock 'n' roll, a bit global traveler. She is proud of her ethnic craftmanship: simple but 'not very minimalist'. In short, it's how women want to dress now and after. She has always designed for herself, in an industry where many womenswear creative directors are male. 'It's true that I am my own muse”, she said. In an interview, she remarked: “ I don't like this word but when I studied fashion my director said, "You shouldn't want others to wear things that you won't wear yourself,"- and that's something that never left me.
Her new personal collection comprises tight
jeans, flats and a sweatshirt or a jumper. As an addition, a chic jacket or a
coat. This collection is quite androgonystic but at same time very feminine but
she always need to break it with something very masculine. She doesn’t like to
share the world in two pieces, and loves to create new pieces for all ages.
Isabel Marant shakes her soul to find her instinct for the new collection.
Marant said that it is an amazing surprise to find her collection arrive in so
many stores after six months of hard work,. She is very proud about this
project and also with the H&M team.
“For me it was really the best as a stylist I love the challenges, but I want my clothes to be worn by real people in everyday life at good rates”. That’s Isabel Marant. Welcome to her world.
